Police and transphobia, what could go wrong? What happened was disgusting. They abused their power repeatedly and even assaulted her while she was in the hospital trying to recover from the beating that took place under questionable circumstances. Then, they coerced a statement out of her blaming herself for what happened. The world needs to be more accepting of these girls. This hate is unacceptable. I am sorry to go into the sexual-assault part, but the whole thing really pisses me off. One of the things that pisses me off the most is that these gutless cowards would probably mask their actions in a bogus interpretation of a moral code. Even if you are a Christian, there is no place for harming others and certainly not what they did to her in the words of the Christ in those pages. Full disclosure, I am not religious, but I like the character of Jesus (not the perversions of him that exist today).
